The following achievements may be highlighted:

  • As Central Administrator for SAT, he gradually increased collections as a result of audits and the self-correction of companies in the matter of foreign trade between 500% and 1800%, surpassing 70 million pesos to 1.3 billion pesos a year.
  • As Administrator of International Standards at SAT, he resolved more than 1500 consultations by taxpayers on customs matters in foreign trade and international treaties.
  • As Administrator of Customs Fraud at SAT, he completed more than 100 reports deriving from criminal conduct (contraband and others), with tax damages of nearly 10 billion pesos. For these and other achievements, in 2005 he was awarded the national prize for “Outstanding Conduct” by the Head of SAT.
